SB 556 -- LIQUOR LICENSE FOR GAMING BOATS
SPONSOR: DePasco (Hoppe)
COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Local Government and Related Matters by a vote of 17 to 0.
This bill allows the Division of Liquor Control to issue a
microbrewer's liquor license to excursion gambling boats
allowing them to manufacture liquor on the boat or neighboring
facility.
FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.
PROPONENTS: Supporters say that when liquor licenses were first
issued microbrewers did not exist. The bill only updates state
law.
Testifying for the bill were Senator DePasco; and Ameristar.
OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
